Script&Pitch Workshops and Script&Pitch Workshops International

10 months, 3 residential workshops, 2 on-line sessions, 1 Alumni meeting.
Script&Pitch Workshops is an advanced development course for European scriptwriters and story editors. Starting from 2010 it will be possible to apply to Script&Pitch Workshops International also for non-European participants from all over the world.
The joint programme lasts 10 months and we select 20 participants from all over the world (15 scriptwriters and 5 story editors) who will follow the whole scriptwriting process, from the generating of ideas and structuring of the material through a first and second draft up to a final pitch in front of a group of international producers and sales agents.
Aim
We offer education through the development of projects. A primary aim is to advance writers' and story editors' professional skills. A second aim is to create a vibrant network for our participants and we therefore connect Script&Pitch and Script&Pitch International with festivals and industry-events, seeking producers who are interested in writers and development, not just in single projects. Again, the vision is to develop people with projects, rather than projects with people attached, supporting independent creative talent.
Partnership with TorinoFilmLab
Starting from 2009, Script&Pitch Workshops is part of the Training section of TorinoFilmLab, a new film fund dedicated to emerging international talents in film. Participants at their first or second feature film will therefore have the opportunity to access the Development and Funding of TorinoFilmLab, through a selection process that will involve the TFL Advisory Board and the producers who will be invited to the final pitching. Up to 6 projects from Script&Pitch Workshops and Script&Pitch Workshops International / TFL Training will be awarded a Development Award and be provided with individually tailored tools for development, financing and marketing.
The 20 participants of Script&Pitch Workshops and Script&Pitch Workshops International represent the Training section of TorinoFilmLab. All applications should be sent to Script&Pitch Workshops.
