Arnaud Bénoliel studied Cinema and Script-Writing at the Paris-I University, Panthéon-Sorbonne, and attended the professional training of the Louis Lumière Film School, and the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts of Marseille. He began his career as a camera operator and photographer. His work has been published and exhibited. In 2000, he wrote the scenes of Tableaux de Paroles, at the Merlan Theatre, National Scene of Marseille. In the following years, he was cast in leading roles in plays such as Musset’s On ne badine pas avec l’amour, and has toured theatres in France, including the Théâtre de La Criée.

He then wrote and directed his first film, Soir bleu, a 35 mm short drama produced by Finalement productions and funded by CNC. The film was bought by the national TV channel FRANCE 3, was showcased at the ‘International Critics Week’ of Cannes 2007 and has since been selected for a number of festivals. Arnaud is now working on features projects, including Crépuscule, developed through Script & Pitch, and Perkin Warbeck, a historical epic co-written with fellow Script & Pitch alumni, Michael Kinirons and developed by Octagon Films and the Irish Film Board.
