Michael Kinirons
Writer/Director
Michael graduated from Trinity College Dublin reading English and Philosophy and subsequently studied Directing at the National Film and Television School, Beaconsfield, London. He is the writer and director of four shorts films, Falling Angels, The Elephant and the Seagull, Treeclimber and Lowland Fell, and has co-written and directed a four part drama-doc series, Blood and Ink for Irish television. His shorts have played in numerous international festivals and been broadcast on national television. As a solo writer he has written two features to date; The Lake, a coming of age drama developed by Princess Pictures and the Irish Film Board, and The Obituarist, a dark tale of voyeurism and obsession, developed through Script and Pitch. He has also developed a co-writing partnership with fellow Script and Pitch alumni, Arnaud Benoliel, and their first project, a sweeping historical epic entitled Perkin Warbeck, is currently in development with Octagon Films and supported by the Irish Film Board. Michael is also currently developing his first feature, which he hopes to shoot in summer 2010.
