Michael Kinirons graduated from Trinity College Dublin where he studied English Literature and Philosophy and subsequently earned a Masters Degree in Film at University College Dublin. His graduation film, Muffles in the Cubby, was showcased at Cannes 2001 with other promising European student filmmakers. After graduation, Michael continued to make fiction and documentary shorts as writer and director while  also working as a development executive. He has worked as a freelance script reader and editor for a number of leading Irish production companies and is an official reader for the Irish Film Board. Michael?s latest short film, Falling Angels, won a GFC/RTE script award and is currently on the international festival circuit. The Irish Film Board and Princess Pictures are developing his first feature script entitled The Lake, which is scheduled for production in late 2006. He also has a number of projects in development including Burning Men, a feature film being developed with support of MEDIA slate funding, and Blood and Ink, a documentary series being developed by TG4, the Irish language channel. He has attended numerous training courses and workshops with many internationally renowned film practitioners including Bobette Buster, Bruce Block, Robert McKee, Francis Ford Coppola, Thelma Schoonmaker and Agnieska Holland.
