Paolo Potì has studied cinema, literature and music. He got a piano diploma at the Martini Conservatory in Bologna and a degree in Ancient Literature at Bologna University, with a thesis in Filmology. He then attended the European Film College in Denmark, where he studied Screenwriting and Direction, and where he wrote and directed a short film that partecipated to many festivals in Italy and abroad.
He has recently published a book about the music for movies of Michael Nyman, with FrancoAngeli editore.
Last december he was among the finalists at the Solinas Prize, with the story The God of the Hills.
He lives in Bologna.
