Martin Turk
Director
Born in 1978 in Trieste, a member of the Slovene ethnic minority living in Italy. In 1998 began his studies of film and TV direction at the Ljubljana Academy (AGRFT ) and took his degree in 2004. Worked as assistant director on several full-length feature films, including Danis Tanovi?'s "No Man's Land" (2nd AD), "Ljubljana, the Beloved" by Matjaž Klop?i? and "Installation of Love" by Maja Weiss (both 1st AD).
His diploma work, short film Izlet (The Excursion), won several international awards (Montpellier, Bologna, Wiesbaden). His first short film after the diploma Rezina življenja (A Slice of Life) was presented at the festival Premiers plans in Angers and won the prize for the best Slovenian short film at the festival of Slovenian film.
