Bogdan (born in 1975) graduated the Romanian University of Theatre and Film, Bucharest, Film Directing section.

During school and immediately after, he directed several short films. Some of them participated in film festivals and won awards (“Daniela” was awarded in Munich and Karlovy Vary in 2001). His most recent short film “A good day for a swim” was awarded in 2008 in Berlinale (Golden Bear for the best short film) and Palm Springs.
As a scriptwriter, his long feature film script “A heart shaped balloon” received the Best Project award in Sarajevo CineLink and Thessaloniki Balkan Fund in 2006 and participated in l’Atelier Cannes 2007. Now he is preparing his feature film debut.
