Filmmaker Åsa Riton’s vision is to merge art and film and bring it into new environments. Her visual language is unique, always exploring and pushing the boundaries of conventional media. Åsa’s mission is to make ordinary things interesting by twisting popular culture, politics, philosophy and human nature into a world of her own.

After graduating from Central St Martins College of Art and Design, she has shown her work at the Gothenburg International Film Festival, Helsinki Short Film Festival, Kulturhuset Stockholm and The ICA; London Institute of Contemporary Arts. Apart from making video installations, she has directed science mockumentaries, music videos and documented live concerts.

The last two years she studied at The National Film School of Denmark.
