Sergio Recchia
Sergio Recchia
Script Writer/ Editor/ Director

Born in south-east of Italy in 1976, Sergio experiences travels since the youngest age. He grows up playing competitive sports.
He quits economic studies because of the responsibility and need of being author.
Then he meets a Master who confirms what he was learning about cinema storytelling: Roberto Perpignani. Courses with Abel Ferrara, Sergio Miceli, Daniele Segre, Umberto Contarello, Jon Jost, Holden School and the three years Editing Degree at Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia are useful to look for his own style and find out which are the stories he has to tell. Dora, the degree film, is selected at Locarno Film Festival in 2007.
He suffers from shyness and egocentric moments as well. He ran away from Rome to come back to the huge Puglia sky.

At first radio author, then assistant director in cinema, he writes, shoots and edits above all short and documentary films. Now he's writing two long feature films.
