Fabienne Aguado holds a BA in Film Studies (she wrote a thesis about Jacques Tati) and a Masters degree in Sociology (Cultural Policies and Socio-economic issues).
Her early professional life was spent on film sets (assistant director, script) and on writing articles and film reviews. She was one of the founders of the « 5 jours tout court » Festival in Caen (Normandy). Her varied experience includes managing a film production company, running evenings for film clubs, reading scripts and being a regular member of juries attributing development grants.
In 1998, she helped founding the Centre for Cinematographic Scripts (CÉCI) that she has been managing for the past five years.
CÉCI has its offices at the Moulin d’Andé, a cultural association in Normandy (France) where writers and artists have found inspiration, support and the best conditions of work over the last fifty years. The association is of international repute for its support of a pluralistic yet demanding film-making world.
