Alessandro Avataneo is an Italian filmmaker, writer and producer.
He has a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy, a 2-year master in Storytelling and Narration Techniques, and a master in Digital Entertainment.
He is author of 4 documentaries, 9 short movies, 3 animated shorts, a TV format, 3 theatre plays (performed on the stage), one novel, and a feature film.
He has been working and filming in more than 30 countries between Europe, North America and Japan.
In 2009 his project UNA STORIA DELLE COLLINE (A Tale of the Hills), developed through 7 years of research, finally took shape. It is a portrait of the civilization living in the Piedmontese Langhe region, which led to a generation of outstanding winemakers world-renowned, and gave birth to the international movement of Slow Food.
This narrative project consists of a novel, a theatre performance, and a feature film.
