Laura Schroeder studied Film in Paris (Université de Paris 1- Sorbonne) and London (National Film and Television School).
Since she moved back to Luxembourg in 2007, she has directed two short films supported by Filmfund Luxembourg, “Senteurs” (2008) and “Double Saut” (2010), as well as the transdisciplinary theatre play “Luxtime – Jacques Tati revisited” which, after public acclaim in Luxembourg, will be shown at the Avignon Theatre Festival in 2010. She is currently developing two feature films: “Contingencies” as writer/director, and “Melusina TS” as director only, for which shooting is scheduled for 2011.
Laura’s work is characterized by a strong interest in human frailty, in the intimate and in the individual, taken most of the time in a specific situation, decisive for him/her.
